Garlic Naan
When you’re trying to figure out what to eat with that luxurious, flavorful curry, look no further. My Garlic Naan is here. This super fluffy flatbread, with lightly charred spots and a generous brushing of garlic butter and cilantro, is the perfect side for just about any saucy dish. A true favorite in my household. And trust me, this recipe is even hard for some restaurants to beat.
How to make it?
This garlic naan starts with a soft yeast dough made with all-purpose flour, yogurt, and butter. The yogurt and butter help create that signature soft and fluffy texture, while the yeast gives the dough its rise. After an initial rise, the dough is shaped and rested again before cooking.
From there, each naan is cooked in a hot pan until puffed with beautiful charred spots. To finish, it’s brushed with garlic butter and topped with cilantro for plenty of flavor in every bite.
What kitchen tools do I need?
Not much, honestly. Just a bowl, a rolling pin, and a cast-iron pan, or whatever pan you have on hand. Just make sure it’s hot. And I mean hot hot.
And if you don't have a rolling pin, grab your trusty wine bottle and get to rolling.
Reheating:
To reheat, microwave the naan until warm and add an extra hit of garlic butter if needed. There’s no need to put it back in the pan. The microwave actually helps to get back that soft and fluffy texture once cooled.
